General terms and conditions

  1. This event is free of charge and there is no need to pay any participation fee.

  2. Participants do not need to register to participate in the event. Participants who go to the hiking trails according to the “Participation Method” of the event and submit proof of task completion before 23:59 on the last day of the event period will be deemed to have completed the route.

  3. By participating in the event and submitting proof of completion, participants agree to the “Activity Terms and Conditions”.

  4. During the event, please try your best to comply with the Leave No Trace principles.

  5. Participation in the Event is voluntary. Every participant agrees to bear the participant’s own risks and responsibilities. The Green Earth suggests participants to purchase appropriate insurances based on their individual needs.

  6. During the event, please comply with all regulations under the Country Parks Ordinance (Chapter 208) and all relevant country protection laws and regulations.

  7. The Green Earth reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

  8. The Green Earth reserves the right on the final decision in all matters pertaining to the event. Any changes or contingent measures for the event will be posted on The Green Earth’s facebook.

Leave No Trace tips

  1. Please avoid using disposable utensils. Please also take your litter home and do not leave any unnatural objects in the country parks to avoid polluting the environment.
  2. Damaging or disturbing any flora or fauna are strictly prohibited.
  3. Taking away any items, animals or plants found in nature is disallowed.
  4. Please be considerate, do not make unacceptable noise and continuously occupy landscape points or resting points.
  5. Please make plans and prepare supplies before the hike, and have the ability to save yourself. In addition to ensuring your own safety, it can also avoid causing damage to nature.
  6. During the journey, you should travel on regular trails to avoid damaging nearby vegetation and soil and reduce the problems of shortcuts. If you plan to include camping activities in your trip, you should use officially designated campsites.
  7. Do not light fires causally in the nature. If you need to cook in a designated campsite, please use a stove instead of a bonfire to avoid causing a fire or blackening the ground.

Safety tips

  1. Some routes are longer and have different levels of difficulty. Please first understand your personal capacity when choosing a route. If you realize that you can’t complete the route during the hike, don’t force yourself.

  3. It is recommended to go with friends and not to hike alone.
